Resin "Fenotam-N 201M" meets all modern requirements for resins for the production of heat-insulating materials.

Recommended formulations of resin-based binders “Fenotam-N 201M”

Before applying the resin "Fenotam-N 201M" it is necessary to conduct a neutralization reaction of free alkali with a solution of ammonium sulfate.

After neutralization, the resin is diluted with industrial water to the required concentration by density.

For centrifuges with a closed cooling system (belt drive of rolls), dilution from 6 to 12% of the “dry residue” is usually used, for centrifuges with an evaporative cooling system, from 10 to 18% for various brands of products depending on density.

After diluting the resin in the resulting solution are introduced:

- oil emulsion (dust collector);

- hydrophobizing emulsion;

- aminosilane (adhesion promoter).

Emulsions are recommended to be diluted with water beforehand to facilitate pumping and speed up mixing with a binder solution. After the introduction of emulsions, the solution should be continuously mixed. The aminosilane used is introduced at the very end of the preparation of the binder solution.

Before feeding the binder solution to the line, it is recommended to filter through a 50-100 micron mesh to prevent foreign particles and rust from entering the nozzle heads and clogging them.

The finished binder solution should be developed on the line in a period not exceeding 8-12 hours, depending on its concentration.

Our recommendations are based on long-term experience with the use of Fenotam-N resins in consumers and research data. The process of using the resin to prepare the binder solution is recommended and may differ in the details of the conduct and the components used, depending on the requirements for the properties of the finished product for a particular consumer.

Packing and storage:

Phenol-formaldehyde resins are transported in stainless steel tank trucks.

The optimum temperature for the transportation and storage of Fenotam-N 201M resin is about +17 ºС. A temperature above +25 ºС significantly reduces the shelf life of the resin, and at a temperature below +12 ºС, a urea component may precipitate.

Prior to use, the resin must be stored in storage tanks equipped with mixing devices.

Shelf life - 14 days at a temperature of +14 ºС to +20 ºС.
